YurView’s first GameTime of the season did not disappoint, with a spectacular win for Mesa Mountain View High School over Valley Vista High. The Toros of MVHS led 7-0 early on in the 1st quarter thanks to QB Brandon Nunez, with another TD from Jeremiah Hollen shortly after that. But the Monsoon of VVHS was still brewing. Ray Baquero slipped into the end zone bringing the Monsoon within reach going into the half, 14-7.
Mountain View came out in the second half relentless with eyes on the end zone. Nunez slickly ran across the line again to get the Toros back at it, but they didn’t let up there. Hollen powered through once more to raise the final score to 31 Toros, 7 Monsoon.
